Product Description Provides a soft, non-sweaty and comfortable waterproof barrier (as compared to vinyl and rubber). Also blocks dust-mites and other allergens.100% Organic Cotton Fabric both top and bottom layers. Ultra-thin waterproof membrane n center features DrySleep⢠technology, which effectively blocks liquids from passing through while still allowing the fabric to "breathe." Some water vapor is allowed to escape resulting in less "sweaty backs" and a drier, more comfortable sleep. It provides an excellent alternative to vinyl and latex rubber. Non-Toxic Design. peace of mind December 17, 2008 B. Hamnett 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I was hesitant to spend so much money on a mattress cover, but was happy to see a big difference in quality from other mattress covers I have owned. The material was much thicker and more substantial. Knowing that the cover does not contain any harsh chemicals brings me peace of mind since my newborn daughter will be sleeping on it for many hours. I was surprised by the odd odor the cover had when it arrived. I washed it in All Free and the odor came right out. It made a lot of fuzz in my washer/dryer the first time I washed it so I'm a little worried about how it will hold up - haven't yet washed it again to know how that will go.
Naturepedic Waterproof Fitted Crib Pad January 18, 2010 A Rebel Gator Momma 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We have the Naturepedic crib mattress, as well as the Naturepedic waterproof crib pad. We have the full mattress pad on the mattress, then the portacrib pad over that (we have portacribs at both grandparents house, so we bring this pad along). I would say that unless you are buying the full-sized crib waterproof mattress pad to protect the mattress from dustmites, I would recommend the portacrib pad. The portacrib pad is much easier to take on and off since it doesn't have the elastic corners to deal with, which means you basically have to take the mattress out of the crib to put it back on. The BEST combination would be to have your mattress, the portacrib pad, and zip sheets- Then you never have to take the mattress out of the crib to change the sheets.
Seems good quality February 15, 2009 Lula McBride (New York City) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I didn't get the fuzz or the odor with this as the other user did. I'm interested to see how it's waterproof because it's not lined with anything waterproof, but then I like that as an organic product. The mattress already has its plastic cover, I don't need yet more plastic! It is waiting for baby to arrive so it's not tested but so far I'm pleased with it as a cover for the mattress. It's well constructed.
Durable and healthy crib pad February 3, 2010 GreenMama (Mpls, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Naturepedic crib pad is very heavy duty and well made. I've had it for four months and it washes well. It fits the crib mattress snuggly, but not so much that it's a struggle to get on. It is pricey, but the durability and fact that it's free from harmful toxins, makes it worth it to me.
Excellent mattress pad January 11, 2010 Angela M. Sweet I'm very pleased with this product. It's not a typical mattress pad that is filled with batting, I really use it more as a cushion between the mattress and the sheet, which is really ideal for small children. It's very durable and well made.
