I bought this jar when we broke our original jar and were surprised to see the jar as good as our old one.The jar delivery was spot on and nobody can find out if it was bought seperately.I am very satisfied with the product and recommend others for it incase they have mishandled their original purchase.

Unfortunately in these days we know few about the implications of plastic or polycarbonate usage, and many brands don't even specify the material of what is the jar made of, in my case I use the blender a lot for hot mixes while cooking, so thinking to avoid any chemical reaction, I decided to buy this jar which is strong and it comes with the lid, (the old one I had was square) at first I felt it bit small, since the one I had was for 1 3/4, though I noticed that with this size everything blends better, and for being glass it does not keep any smell, so I recommend this jar.

This replacement jar is a bit smaller than the original one. I like that since I am only blending for the two of us. I make a lot of chutneys in the blender and a smaller size jar keeps the ingredients closer to the blade and makes for a smoother mix. Highly Recommended. BTW, the first one I ordered came with the center piece of the lid jammed into the base hole, which caused the jar to break while I was trying to get it out. Amazon replaced it at no charge. 5 stars for Amazon as well.

This glass jar works great. My last one chipped at the bottom so when I blended anything it started to pour out once it was liquefied. This jar fit perfect and got here quickly. The lid is white, so it didn't match the black bottom I had for my old jar, but it does the job.

Works great. I was glad I didn't have to buy a whole new blender just because I broke the jar.
